- Job's friend assumes that it is just for God to punish Job (11:1-6), in fact God is punishing him less than what he deserves. Tells Job to stop complaining. Complaining won't change anything.
- His friend still thinks he is not right with God, that is why he is facing all these punishments (v13)
- Tells Job to repent (v14)
- Then, you will be made good and you can face God (v15)
- Shows Job that life will be much better if he repented (v17-20).
